Education Reformer Damien Granderson

Damien Granderson is an American Author and Educator. Damien was born in Detroit, Michigan. He is the author of the book “A Humble Observer” which is a memoir about his life living with bipolar disorder and being a teacher in New York City. Damien has written for Buzzfeed, Thought Catalog, and The Good Men Project on varied topics.

 

These go from mental health, social justice, race relations, gender issues to education reform. A Humble Observer is his debut book where he shares his life story about living with bipolar disorder. Damien Granderson is an American Author and Educator who was born in Detroit , Michigan. He graduated from Dartmouth College with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism.

 

In law school, the entertainment lawyer Damien became a high-achieving student with a 3.65 GPA and the editor of the law review. After graduating from law school, he decided to pursue an education degree at University of California, Los Angeles. Damien Granderson was accepted into UCLA’s graduate program and also worked as an adjunct professor for 3 years at Loyola Law School. After being told he had bipolar disorder , he decided to take time off from his education degree to focus on his mental health.

Together, they have created “The Humble World Foundation” , a non-profit organization that provides education and awareness on mental health issues. Damien Granderson is working hard as an advocate for himself and others who suffer from bipolar disorder. His aim is to create a better future for others affected by mental health issues.
