Haroldo Jacobovicz: A Legacy of Leadership in Tech and Community Empowerment

In the dynamic world of telecommunications and digital
infrastructure, where trends shift quickly and competition is fierce,
consistency and integrity can be rare. But Haroldo Jacobovicz has carved out a
legacy defined by both. With decades of
entrepreneurial
experience
and a heart firmly rooted in social impact, he has reshaped the
way Brazilians connect—both online and within their communities.

Haroldo Jacobovicz was born in Curitiba, Brazil, to a family that
placed high value on education and contribution. His mother, a pioneering civil
engineer, shattered glass ceilings and gave Haroldo a first-hand example of
what it means to lead with conviction and intellect. Inspired by her
trailblazing path, he too pursued civil engineering—but quickly realized that
his passion wasn’t just in building structures. He wanted to
build systems,
solutions, and lasting change.

His career began in earnest with e-Governe, a platform designed to
digitize and modernize public sector operations. Haroldo identified
inefficiencies in government processes and used
technology to streamline
them—improving services, reducing errors, and bringing the public sector into
the digital age. This early success proved something he’s believed all along:
that innovation is most powerful when it solves real problems.

Following e-Governe, Jacobovicz turned his attention to the
private sector. With the launch of Horizons Datacenter, he provided businesses
with secure and
scalable
infrastructure
at a time when digital transformation was becoming a necessity.
But he wasn’t just responding to market trends—he was anticipating needs and
designing forward-thinking solutions that would stand the test of time.

Then came Horizons Telecom, the crown jewel in Haroldo’s professional portfolio.
Launched in 2010, the company was founded on the principle that reliable
internet access shouldn’t be a privilege, but a right. At that time, many parts
of Brazil still lacked stable connectivity. Jacobovicz saw that gap and stepped
in—not just with technology, but with a mission. Horizons Telecom laid
high-performance fiber-optic networks across underserved areas, setting a new
standard for service quality and access.

Under Jacobovicz’s leadership, Horizons Telecom didn’t just
grow—it thrived. But more importantly, it helped transform how people learned,
worked, and communicated. For students in remote areas, small businesses in
secondary cities, and healthcare professionals operating across regions,
Horizons became a vital link to the world.

Yet Haroldo’s vision extends beyond business. He believes that
with success comes responsibility, and that’s why he created the Haroldo
Jacobovicz Institute. Today, the institute supports 20 institutions across
Curitiba and neighboring communities, focusing on education, youth services,
and social inclusion. His philanthropy is driven by the same precision and
purpose that define his business ventures.

Through his institute, Jacobovicz supports programs that provide
mentorship, access to learning tools, and safe environments for children and
young adults. He takes an active role in the organizations he funds, ensuring
that their work is impactful, measurable, and sustainable. His hands-on
approach to giving back speaks to his belief that real change requires more
than money—it
requires involvement and
commitment.

Haroldo Jacobovicz is not your typical tech entrepreneur. He’s not
chasing the next big trend or racing for headlines. Instead, he’s focused on
building lasting systems, lifting others as he climbs, and ensuring that his
work leaves the world better than he found it.

In every fiber he lays, in every institution he supports, Haroldo
Jacobovicz is sending the same message: true progress is measured not by how
fast we move, but by how many people we bring with us.
