New Franchisees Set To Bring Happy Joe’s to Texas

The Franchisees

Bryan Shorter and Rickey McBride were excited about investing in Happy Joe’s Pizza & Ice Cream. They have always reminisced about great moments they enjoyed in Happy Joe’s restaurants. McBride did not, therefore, second guess his decision to invest in the brand as he was sure about what he would get. McBride and his friends own a business group called HJ SMS OpCo, LLC.

They would lead the arrival of many restaurants in Texas from 2023, making them the first Black franchisees in the history of Happy Joe’s. CEO Tom Sacco hailed this move terming it a huge moment that shows the franchise’s commitment to diversity. Their goal is to make sure there are more women, veterans and minority groups who run Happy Joe’s franchises.

About Happy Joe's Party Package

Source of Inspiration

While at Davenport Central High, McBride visited Happy Joe’s pizza restaurants often and enjoyed the experience. One of the reasons he decided to bring the American Pizza Paror to Texas was Cauliflower crust pizza. He loved its healthy option and wanted his family to have a taste as well. The brand’s creativity and culture of putting customers first also inspired him. He is also thrilled that members of a minority group are included as Happy Joe’s franchisees.

McBride He is delighted that Happy Joe’s has food varieties, even for people who struggle with allergic reactions like his daughter. Before the end of 2023, the group plans to open a Happy Joe’s restaurant in the Dallas suburbs. If they can’t find a suitable location in either Cedar Hill or Grand Prairie, they will explore areas like Arlington city.
