Nick Millican: The Rise In Ghost Listings Garners Buyers Homes

According to real estate expert Nick Millican, a third method of selling a property is on the rise. Previously, there were two ways to sell a property: through online property portals, with public estate agents, or privately, which only left a record on land Registry documents.

But now, ghost listings are on the rise. Several properties have appeared on online portals listed as off-market. These secret house listings include no images, floor plans, or clear addresses. Nick Millican speculates that sellers want to maintain their privacy while having access to buys.

That is why they post the listing on popular sites like Rightmove and Zoopla. Though listed as off-market on the apps, when buyers inquire, a PDF file is available with the information about the property for sale. Real Estate expert Nick Millican shares more information on this concern.

Real estate expert Nick Milican explains that off-market listings or ghost listings of properties are popular. Sellers want to maintain privacy during the transaction, and they also want to avoid having negative information online if the price is reduced or the property doesn’t sell (Facebook).

Ghost listings are popular. Though the listings are so secretive, they have vague information and a random picture. It isn’t until an inquiry is made that a potential buyer receives more accurate information. According to Nick Millican, this trend doesn’t seem to bother buyers who are financially well-off.
